Massa say he does not remember the Hungarian Grand Prix accident.

New Delhi: Injured Ferrari Formula One driver Felipe Massa of Brazil is recovering well from his accident and is keen to return to the racing track as soon as possible.

Massa said in an interview that he plans to be back for his home Grand Prix in Brazil this October.

The 28-year-old driver said he did not remember anything from the accident at the Hungarian Grand Prix last month when a spring struck his helmet just above his left eye.

"I didn't see the spring, I didn't see a thing. I think the spring hit my head and I fell asleep. When I woke up in the hospital I felt my body was functioning well. I saw my eye was swollen, my head too and I knew something had happened, but I was breathing well, I was conscious, I could move my arms, my legs, I could move everything," said Massa.

"I hope to be racing again in the Brazilian Grand Prix, but of course it is not up to me to decide that, but the doctors. I think I have to prove that I can race in Brazil," added the Ferrari driver.

Massa, who fractured his skull during the Hungarian Grand Prix on July 25, spent more than a week in a Budapest hospital before returning to Brazil early this month to continue with his recovery at home. Massa's condition will be evaluated in September.
