HYDERABAD: Task Force sleuths on Thursday nabbed five persons in the city for trying to sell an antique idol which they brought from Kurnool village.According to police, K Dubbanna, a farm labourer from Gudikal village in Kurnool district, learnt about a treasure trove near Durgala Nagamma temple located on a hillock near the village. He engaged 10 labourers of Peddakaduvur and Kappita villages to dig out the treasure and they unearthed the idol of goddess Shakti Matha. Dubbanna then contacted A Devadas, a resident of the same village, and sought his help for selling the idol.Devadas asked his friends, S Devuja and A Balraj, belonging to Mahaboobnagar district, to assist him and the trio also took the help of a car drvier, K Nagaraju, of Lalapet in the city to dispose the idol.All the five planned to sell the idol and share the money equally among themselves.On information, Task Force sleuths caught the five persons and recovered the idol and five mobile phones from them.
