KOCHI: Former footballer A S Firoz, who represented Kerala in Santosh Trophy and played for many well-known clubs, reportedly committed suicide at a young age of 34 in his house at Kechery in Thrissur on Friday.He is survived by wife and two children. Firoz was a member of the Pre- Olympic team (under-23) and represented Kerala five times in the Santosh Trophy.He was also a member of under-23 and under-21 state teams, Kerala Football Association sources said. Firoz had also sported jerseys of Mohammedan Sporting, Mohun Bagan, ITI Bangalore, Churchill Brothers and Eagles FC Cochin.
