New Delhi: In a brutal accident, a fruit vendor was killed and another man was injured, after a speeding luxury car rammed into their cart in south-west Delhi's Dwarka around midnight on Sunday.
The driver sped away after the incident and is stated to be absconding, said a report by the news agency ANI.
Eyewitnesses said the men were pushing their fruit carts after loading them from a wholesale vegetable market nearby when the car lost control and crashed into them.
One of the men died on the spot while the other was rushed to the nearest hospital, the report said. In photos shot by onlookers present on the road, mangled carts and scattered fruits can be seen.
The police said investigations are underway and they are trying to trace the car and arrest the driver.
