A 14-year-old girl student was killed after being hit by a car, near Manathala, Chavakkad, on Thursday. The deceased is Preethi Sreekumar, an 8th standard student at Chavakkad ARRM School.
Though the locals rushed her to the nearest hospital soon after the accident, she died of multiple injuries.
The accident occurred when, on her way back home from school, a car hit her cycle’s rear, the police said.
