Give information on eatables sale

CHENNAI: The TN State Information Commission (SIC) has directed the public information officer (PIO) attached to the Labour Department to furnish immediately, information regarding the sale of eatables at exorbitant rates in multicomplex theatres in the city, to an advocate. Holding that the nonsupply of the information to advocate V S Suresh has amounted to an offence under the Right to Information Act, SIC directed the PIO to furnish the information free of cost as the latter had not furnished the same within 30 days from December 22 last year, the date of receipt of the application.
