Understanding of god God is everything for me.Everything is under his control. He is the taskmaster.I believe that every religion is the same and god is one. We are puppets in the hands of god. Without almighty’s knowledge, even a blade of grass can’t grow on its own. Moreover, people who say there isn’t any god are fools. Blind faith in god will definitely yield good results.Spiritual beliefs Spending quality time with god is necessary.Trust and belief are the two important keys which needs to be followed. Being spiritual and religious are essential for human beings. I have absolute faith in god. Chanting slokas without hope isn’t effective enough.Spiritual practices I make sure I pray to god and smear vibudhi (holy ashes) on my forehead every day. It has become my habit, I have been raised by my father (S Ve Shekar) this way.There is no harm in doing such a thing. Some people think it’s an oldfashioned practice, but I have been following it.Pilgrimage sites I love visiting Sabarimala, Shirdi, Tirupathi and Kovalam Darga. I will plan a trip to these places whenever I get some time off from work.Meditation and awakening Meditation is very important in ones’ life and it shouldn’t be ignored. It can be in any form – yoga or sandhyavandhanam.It increases confidence, focus and helps relax.It is one of the ways to reach god.(Ashwin Shekar is an actor)
