BANGALORE: Revenue Minister G Karunakara Reddy said the state government will not accept the findings of the committee headed by retired IAS officer V Balasubramaniam on the issue of encroachment of government land in Bangalore urban and rural districts.
"The task force headed by Balasubramaniam has committed an act of impropriety by first releasing the report to the media instead of submitting the report to the government in a sealed cover, as is the practice. Hence, we will not accept the report. Moreover, the committee has not yet submitted the report at the first instance," the Minister told reporters on Wednesday. Asked whether he suspected any malafide intention on the part of Balasubramaniam in going to the media instead of releasing the report to the government, he said, "Anybody can draw their own inferences. The task force was appointed by the government and it ought to have submitted its report to the government."
