New Delhi: In less than a month after a government sponsored advertisement showed picture former Pakistan Air Force chief along with eminent Indians like Sachin Tendulkar, a similar ad has gone a step further and put Delhi in Pakistani territory.
The shocker comes from Railway Ministry whose advertisement showing the route of the Maharaja Express goes totally off the mark. Not only does it misplaces major metropolitan cites of India but also goes to the extent placing the country's capital inside Pakistan's political boundary.
What is more shocking is that Railway Minister's own hometown Kolkata is placed in the middle of Bay of Bengal.
The advertisement talks about Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee flagging off the train on Saturday. The incident has left the Railways deeply embarrassed. Eastern Railway authority has already offered an apology for goof-up and has barred the agency responsible for the blunder from handling any railway projects in future.
Meanwhile, Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party has condemned the ad goof up.
" Earlier also the UPA government had goofed with an ad where a Pakistani official was shown--all I can say as far issues of the country are concerned, UPA is very non serious," said BJP leader, Sumitra Mahajan.
Interestingly, when it comes to goof-ups, Pakistan too doesn't seem to be far behind. On Friday, an advertisement issued by police in Pakistan's Punjab province had featured the logo of Indian Punjab police.
