Grand inter-school fest tomorrow

KOCHI: Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vaduthala is all set to host their annual inter-school event, Chaitanya on October 1. The chosen theme this year is ‘Yathrikar, a classic Indian saga’ that aims to capture the desi spirit in all its festive colours.The event brings together about 15 schools, with approximately 1000 students participating in each of 6 competitions.  The school’s rather artistically done up handbook provides details of each category, ranging from music (Raag Masti) to fashion (Alankar) to dance (Nritta Nritya Natya) and literature (Kavi Kalpana). The others are  ‘Surprise’ activities, which will be revealed on the day of the event, which will test the students on spontaneity and innovation.The event certainly seems to be one that promises much fun and frolic.
