HYDERABAD: The Economic Offences Court, Nampally on Saturday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of absconding businessman Gowri Shankar Gupta and his brother Gopal Gupta paving way for their arrest, which, police said, is imminent.Magistrate R Sudhakar Naidu dismissed the anticipatory bail pleas of the Gupta brothers even as he gave bail to the other seven accused in the cheating case registered against them by real estate firm DLF. DLF has alleged that SBPL Infrastructure Ltd, owned by Gupta, who also owns the PVR malls, had duped them to the tune of Rs 280 crore. The case is being probed by the Central Crime Station (CCS). The seven who have been granted anticipatory bail are G S Gupta's wife Sarita Gupta and relatives, Radhey Shyam Gupta, Manoj Kumar Sharma, Amit Agarwal, Megha Gupta, Komal Agarwal and Mangri Gupta. While granting bail, the court asked them to furnish two bonds of Rs 50,000 each, to appear in court within 10 days, not leave the city without prior permission and also appear before the Station House Officer (SHO), CCS every Monday and Thursday.  The police had registered a case against the Guptas  on last Wednesday. Police Sources said that the Gupta brothers are still within the country and it was only a matter of time before they are nabbed.
