HC gives last chance to state govt to regularise services of all contractual health department employees
The Rajasthan High Court on Saturday gave a last chance to the state government till July eight to regularise services of all contractual employees of the health department who have completed 10 years of service.

The Rajasthan High Court on Saturday gave a last chance to the state government till July eight to regularise services of all contractual employees of the health department who have completed 10 years of service.

Issuing a notice to the government in this regard, Justice GK Vyas asked why the order of permanent postings of these contractual workers was not issued in line with the guidelines of the Supreme Court. "We are giving the state government a last chance to give them permanent postings by July eight.

Otherwise the court will pass an order on its own," the Judge said. ANM Bindra Devi and Sohani along with 600 contract workers of the Medical and Health department had filed a petition seeking regularisation of their services.

The court had issued a notice to the state government earlier also. The petitioners had said they were employed in 2002 by the Medical, Health and Family Welfare department through the laid-down recruitment process. "Since the appointment, we have been discharging our duties at par with permanent workers," the petition said.
