New Delhi: Sajid Khan's previous films have gone out to collect Rs 100 crore in a matter of few days but his latest film 'Himmatwala' despite boasting of a great star cast, has not been able to draw big collections at the box office. 'Himmatwala' has collected Rs 31.1 crore in its opening weekend.
Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Himmatwala collected approx Rs 31.1 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup: Fri 12.1 cr, Sat 8.5 cr, Sun 10.5 cr."
"In view of the fact that UTV has given #Himmatwala a wide release, the weekend numbers are shockingly low," Adarsh further added.
The film is a remake of K Raghavendra Rao's 1983 film of the same name.
'Himmatwala' stars Ajay Devgn, Tammannah Bhatia, Mahesh Manjrekar and Paresh Rawal.
