'Holiday' breaks Akshay Kumar's jinx at the Box Office, enters the Rs 100 crore club
Akshay's films have of late been doing average business at the Box Office but his latest has earned Rs 100 crores.

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar is back to rule the Box Office. His latest, 'Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty' has earned Rs 100 crores in two weeks since its release.

The film, which stars Akshay and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead roles, has been directed by South filmmaker AR Murugadoss and produced by Vipul Shah and Akshay Kumar.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Friday tweeted the Box Office collections of the film which has Akshay playing an Army officer. Taran initially tweeted, "#Holiday [Week 2] Fri 4.41 cr, Sat 6.34 cr, Sun 8.78 cr, Mon 3.19 cr, Tue 2.99 cr, Wed 2.75 cr, Thu 2.55 cr. Grand total: ₹ 99.71 cr nett." But soon after he tweeted that the film has earned Rs 100 crore on Friday.

Touted as big release for Akshay Kumar, the success of 'Holiday' has once again put Akshay in the esteemed club of actors with Rs 100 crore films. The actor's last Rs 100 crore film was back in 2012 when 'Rowdy Rathore' had released. Past that, Akshay's films had been doing poor to abverage business at the Box Office.
