BANGALORE : All the fruit lovers in the city who are in mood for some juicy mangoes and jackfruits, can head to Hopcoms’ national-level mango and jackfruit mela, starting from Wednesday. The mela will be inaugurated on May 23 at 9.30 am at the Hopcoms outlet near Hudson Circle and will go on till the end of the season. This year, the mela will be held at all the Hopcoms retail outlets across the city. Also, retail stores will be organised at special mobile outlets in H S R Layout, Kengeri Satellite Town and J P Nagar.B V Chikanna, director, Hopcoms, said “Apart from our 287 outlets, fruits will be sold in mobile vehicles at a few areas. The highlight of this year’s mela will be sale of mangoes which are ripened with Ethylene.” Different varieties of mangoes from all across the country will be sold at discount rates.
