HYDERABAD: After having a 'chilling' experience in Himalayas over the past two days, housing minister Kanna Lakshminarayana, Bhimunipatnam MLA 'Avanti' srinviasa Rao  and their family members have arrived here on Tuesday night.  The minister who went on a pilgrimage to Kailash Manasa Sarovar along with family members and got stranded at Hilsa, reached New Delhi on Tuesday evening after more than three hours of air-travel from Simikot in Nepal.According to officials in the chief minister's office, the minister along with  Srinivasa Rao and their family members were flown to Kathmandu from Simikot on Tuesday afternoon. Due to heavy rain in Kathmandu, their journey was delayed by a few hours. However, the 14-member group reached New Delhi safely in a special aircraft arranged by the Central government by 5 p.m.  Throughout the day, the officials led by chief secretary SV Prasad coordinated with the Central government and monitored the travel arrangements to ensure that the minister reached Hyderabad safely. It may be recalled that Lakshminarayana and his family members got stranded at Hilsa on the Tibet-Nepal border while returning from Manasa Sarovar on Sunday. They were reportedly abandoned by a travel agency which failed to provide them a helicopter for transportation due to inclement weather. Following the initiative taken up by the state government and intervention of the defence ministry, the minister and 13 others were airlifted to Simikot on Monday.
