How To Protect Yourself From Snakes This Monsoon
During the rainy season, the fields and lands are filled with water due to which the venomous snakes enter the households.

We all know about the place Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in India. Every year thousands of people lose their lives during the monsoon season due to snake bites in these areas in the state of West Bengal. During the rainy season, the fields and lands are filled with water due to which the venomous snakes enter the households. Killing a snake can be a very tough job and thus it is important to know how to protect yourself from snake bites. Most people panic when they suddenly see a snake. As per experts, it is very important to keep the mind strong rather than getting afraid of the creature. Here are some tips to save yourself from snakes:

Try not to make any sudden movement in the direction of the snake. Do not try to scare the snake or poke it with something, as it may attack you instantly. Instead, if you see a snake let it go in its way and try to avoid standing in the direction in which the snake is moving.

If you suddenly find a snake in your household, try to maintain peace in the house. Make sure no one screams and runs away as the snake can track human movement and may attack the people present at the house.

If you have pets in your family, lock them in a safe room. Do not try to catch the snake by yourself.

Slowly back away in the opposite direction of the snake and try contacting the forest department or the related departments for help.

If you can manage to get out of the house or room, then close the doors slowly and leave the windows open. You can scare the snake away by making loud noises from a safe distance. The snake might leave the house in fear of the sounds.

It is advised to never try to kill a snake with a stick or anything else as it can result in serious repercussions. It is best to get out of the place where the snake is and contact the officials for safe rescue.

People living in those areas are advised to keep the contact details of the animal rescue team handy for emergency use.
