CUTTACK: The wait for the over four lakh students would end on June 25, as the Board of Secondary Education Orissa (BSE) on Monday announced the date for declaration of High School Certificate (HSC) examination results. The results would be announced at 9.30 am on Saturday. While result books would be published and sold, they would be uploaded in five websites. Students can access their results at www.bseorissa.in, www.orissaresults.nic.in, www.indiaresults.com, www.exametc.com and www.schools9.com. For the first time, the students can also get their results on their mobile phones by sending SMSes to defined telephone numbers. Regular students can get their results by typing OBSE (space) roll number to 57333 and 56505. They can also type OR10(space)roll number to 5676750, 56300 and 56767999. Ex-regular students will have to type XOBSE(space) roll number to the first two numbers and OR10E (space) roll number to the other three phone numbers. “The SMS system and addition of more websites would not only make things easy for the students but also save them the hassles of getting copies of the books or having to cope with the logjam on the sites. The SMSes would provide results complete with subject-wise marks,” BSE president Satyakam Mishra said. The Board will this year continue with the publication of toppers list even as voices have been raised for doing away with the system. The names of the best 100 students would be published, Mishra said. The Board would also provide certificate-cum-marksheets to the students on the day of publication of results. The single composite document would have photographs of the students embedded in it. The changes have been incorporated with the objective of doing away with the delay in supplying students with the certificates and also providing them with a comprehensive identity proof.
