BANGALORE: The Indian Air Force (IAF) would continue to build strategic capability to meet the increasing demands of the dynamics of the region as well as enable ‘full spectrum dominance’ through the 13th Five Year Plan. Speaking about the strategies and capabilities of the IAF while delivering the L M Khatre Memorial Lecture on Saturday, Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne said equipment were being procured  and they were actively pursuing to have 42 squadrons by 2022 with the induction of  two squadrons’ each from Light Combat Aircraft (LCA)  and Medium Multi-Role Combat Aircraft (MMRCA). Browne said, “Phase 1 of the Air Force Network (AFNET) project is complete and Phase 2 will be starting soon.”
