BANGALORE: Department of Pre-University Education in a press note advised students, who are writing the ongoing II PUC final examinations, not to pay heed to rumours about question paper leaks or probable questions that may appear in the exams. The release came after an alleged SMS was circulated among students on Monday night, which claimed to contain questions that would appear in the Physics exam. “Students are advised to ignore such rumours spread by unscrupulous elements through SMSs on leaked question papers. Do not pay attention to the availability of alleged leaked papers or try to purchase them,” stated the advisory note. Further, students who studied hard are advised to use the additional time to relax. “It is the department’s responsibility to safeguard the interests of students. It may not be out of place to mention here that the leakage of question papers is already under CID and CCB investigation,” stated the note.It also requested parents and students to join hands with the department to help us conduct the exams smoothly. The note also stressed the department’s helpline will be open for student counselling. Students can address their queries on preparation methods, study skills, exam fear, time management, memory improvement and peer pressure among others. The helpline numbers are 080-23468740/23468741.
