MYSORE: Refusing to comment on the indictment of the Chief Minister in the Lokayukta report, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Shobha Karandlaje claimed that the Yeddyurappa-led state government will complete its full term.She was speaking to reporters on Chamundeshwari temple premises atop Chamundi Hills on Sunday morning. The Department of Food and Civil Supplies is keen on stopping the supply of LPG gas to illegal connections and ration to illegal card holders, she declared.She explained that there were 52.5 lakh ration card holders and 75 lakh gas connections in the state. Of them, 18.5 lakh cards are illegal and only 32.5 lakh gas connection holders have provided the necessary documents.The Department will wait for a few more days for the documents. Thereafter, gas supply and ration to the illegal card holders will be stopped, she warned.Shobha Climbs 1001 StepsShobha Karandlaje climbed 1001 steps to Sri Chamundeshwari temple atop Chamundi Hills to fulfil her Sankalpa Vrata.At about 6.15 am on Sunday, she started to climb the steep steps barefooted after offering pooja. She was accompanied by her family members, Karnataka Exhibition Authority chairman BP Manjunath and a few local politicians.On her way to the top, Shobha performed a pradakshina at Nandi statue, offered pooja and continued the climb. When she reached the temple, the authorities welcomed her traditionally.Following this, she offered pooja to Goddess Chamundeshwari.She said that there was no link between the state’s political crisis and her ascent as she had been climbing the hills for the past three years as part of her own spiritual pursuit, especially during Ashadha and Navaratri.
