India in Touch With Afghan Officials To Secure Abducted Woman's Release
Technical, surveillance teams and special forces trying to locate her and officials say that her mobile phone was on for some time after she was kidnapped.

India is in touch with Afghan authorities to secure the release of a 40-year-old woman, who was abducted from Kabul on Thursday night. The abducted Indian woman, identified as Judith D'Souza, hails from Kolkata.

"Our Embassy is in touch with senior Afghan authorities and the government is in touch with her family in Kolkata too. All efforts are being made by Afghan authorities to secure her early release", Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) officials said.
