What an exhibition of batting it was as Ganguly, Dravid and Tendulkar turned on the magic to draw level in the series against England at Leeds in 2002. The margin of victory was an innings and 46 runs. India went to South Africa to prove they are the No. 1 Test side and they did exactly that when they defeated South Africa by 87 runs at Durban, 2010. The Test that started it for India. The Eden Test in 2001 was only the third occasion in the history of the game when a team forced to follow on came back to win the game. India went to South Africa to prove that they deserve their No. 1 Test rank. And they did exactly that by coming back to level the series at Durban after tasting defeat at Centurion. Here is a look back at India's journey to the pinnacle of Test cricket through the past decade. One of the historic win in 2003 when India defeated Australia by 4 wickets at Adelaide. India crushed arch rivals Pakistan in 2004 when men in blue won by an innings and 131 runs. Another brilliant win against England in 2007 at Nottingham when they defeated them by 7 wickets.
