Benazir's uncle Mumtaz Bhutto has questioned the authenticity of her will.

New Delhi: Barely days after Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in Rawalpindi during a campaign rally, a feud over her succession has broken out.

Benazir's uncle Mumtaz Bhutto has questioned Bilawal's right to head the Pakistan People's Party.

He says Bilawal's decision to add Bhutto to his name is a fudge, for Bilawal remains a Zardari with no right to lead a party founded by the Bhutto family.

"You can't just add a name. You can't become a Bhutto overnight," Mumtaz was quoted by The Times as saying.

He has also questioned the authenticity of Benazir's will, calling it "suspect". Casting doubts over the authenticity, he said: "It's very suspect. Suddenly, a will has come into existence that nobody has seen before," he was further quoted by The Times as saying.

Mumtaz Bhutto, who had a falling out with Benazir's father and was expelled from the party, said that the PPP's leadership should have gone to either Benazir's younger sister — Sanam, who lives in London — or to one of the two children of her brother Murtaza, who was killed in a police shoot-out when she was Prime Minister.

Mumtaz allegedly said that the Zardaris have made no sacrifices for the PPP, but have only profited from the party.
