HYDERABAD: Seeking separate Telangana state, TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao began a two-day Chandi Yagam at Telangana Bhavan, the party headquarters, here on Thursday. Vaastu scholar and astrologer Vavilala Damodar Sharma from Telangana, along with 23 priests, performed Nakshatra Navagraha Mahanyasa Purvaka Kubera Pasupati Maha Mrutyunjaya Pasupati Abhisheka Homam" at Prof Jayashankar Hall in the building.The yagam began at 3.30 am and ended at 3 pm. On Friday the yagam will begin at 8.30 am and end at 1 pm. Rao, along with wife Shobha Rani, performed the homam.Their daughter Kavitha, relatives, Capt. Laxmikantha Rao, MLA Vinay Bhaskar, party leaders and activists attended. Damodar Sharma said KCR would turn 58 years of age on Friday and the couple would take part in the yagam to be performed on Friday.KCR’s Shashti Purti celebrations in 2014 would be organised in a separate Telangana state, Sharma predicted.
