PUTTAPARTHI: Ongoing developments in Prashanti Nilayam and the recent seizure of huge amount of cash carried from Prashanti Nilayam to Bangalore (the source for which was traced to the trust), has made Sai Baba’s relatives suspect foul play in the Trust affairs.Speaking to Express, Chetana Raj, Baba’s grand niece (grand daughter of Baba’s sister), said initially, they had no suspicion about the transpareny of the inventory of valuables in Yajurveda Mandir as retired Supreme Court judge Justice PN Bhagavati and retired intelligence expert SV Giri were part of the process. However, later developments (cash seized at Kodikonda Checkpost and it being traced to the trust) have forced them to question the veracity of the findings in Yajurveda Mandir revealed to the public by the trust members. “None of the relatives were called when the doors of Yajurveda Mandir were opened, though we were promised to be invited,” Chetana said and added that when Satya Sai was hospitalised, relatives were kept in the dark.“Our family does not want the inheritance of Baba, but we are ready to sacrifice our lives for him. We were hurt when we could not visit him when he was ailing,” she said and wondered whether he was administered proper treatment or not.She was tightlipped when asked whether trust member Rathnakar had anything to do with keeping other relatives away from Baba. She expressed fear of threat to her life if she commented on the current developments.
