KOCHI: Union Minister K V Thomas has said that the maintenance work of the gallery at Kumbalangi park would be completed by November this year. Speaking at the valedictory function of tourism Onam celebrations jointly organised by Kumbalangi Tourism Model Society and gramapanchayat, the Minister said that once the maintenance was completed the gallery would be opened for various programmes on Saturdays and Sundays. As part of the celebrations, personalities in various fields were honoured. Agricultural field officer K M Savanan, farmer C V Mathew Kocheri, K T Jacob Kaliparamb, Shibu Kocheri and Lucy Reethu, who was ranked first in MSc examinations, were honoured.Dominic Presentation MLA distributed the awards to those who won first places in floral carpet competition. Gramapanchayat president Usha Pradeep presided over the function. District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth was the chief guest.
