Kupwara: Eight years after the brutal rape and murder of 13 year old school girl Tabinda Gani in Kupwara, a local court will handover the quantum of sentence to four convicts.
Gani was abducted, raped and brutally murdered by four men in 2007 in Kupwara in Kashmir. The family of the victim have demanded death sentence for the the convicts since the crime falls under 'rarest of rare' category.
The convicts included Sadiq Mir, Azhar Ahmad Mir who are residents of Langate while two non-locals - Mochi Jahangir Ansari of West Bengal and Suresh Kumar of Rajasthan.
Principal District and Sessions Judge Kupwara, Muhammad Ibrahim Wani, had held all the four guilty of gang rape and cold blooded murder of 13-year-old Tabinda Gani Shah of Batpora Langate.
