New Delhi: It is not just the psephologists who have been busy predicting the Lok Sabha election result. Thousands of known and unknown astrologers across India are also doing the same job.
Some of them have posted their predictions with detailed analysis on the websites. A few of them have issued press releases predicting the outcome. Some of them claim that it will remain between them and their clients irrespective of the results.
But, these astrological predictions and psephological predictions don't have much in common. Almost all pre-poll surveys have predicted the victory of Narendra Modi led NDA.
But, many astrologers disagree. They claim that it is not going to be a one way victory for Modi or the BJP. Some astrologers are betting on Modi, but not all of them.
Most conclude that no party will win hands down. According to a renowned astrologer both Congress and BJP are under the effects of Sade Sati (Curse of Saturn, which lasts for 71/2 years). He says "so be prepared to see a major and a unique political contest of our times".
A Bangalore based astrologer (he does not want to reveal his name) thinks that the NDA may stop at 200-220 Lok Sabha seats and the UPA may win up to 130 Lok Sabha seats.
"Wait for May 16. There will be some surprising and some shocking results. It is not going to be so easy for the BJP to form the next government", he said.
However the same astrologer got the recent Madhya Pradesh results horribly wrong. He had predicted the Congress victory in MP. He says that this time he won't be wrong.
According to some of his close aides, he makes crores of rupees during every election. Be it Assembly or Parliament.
Another astrologer from Delhi predicts that the NDA may touch 230-240 seats and regional parties like the YSRCP, TRS, DMK and AIADMK etc will back that coalition.
Only a few astrologers are betting on the Congress or Rahul Gandhi. The AAP has no takers among the astrologers. May be because AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal openly criticizes the astrologers saying that the people decide the outcome, not astrologers.
On a website www.indastro.com an astrologer called Pandit Punarvasu writes "The results will be highly favorable for the BJP. If the BJP is to form a government in the centre it will have to be through the method of a 'coalition'. On its own, it may not be able to gather enough numbers and will need the support of other smaller political parties as its partners. Even after forming the party, BJP will have to struggle very hard to keep itself in power and the coalition partners in good humour".
He has analysed the horoscopes of both BJP and Congress. He has also done SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threat) of both national parties.
Commenting on the Congress he writes "Congress will spring some surprises too. The leadership will face many challenges both within and outside the party. In comparison to the results of elections in the 4 states, Congress will pull itself up and improve its performance considerably".
Another astrologer Sushil Kumar Singh has analysed the planetary position of all three major players in the election, Congress, BJP and Third Front. Commenting on the Congress he says "Congress is in the Jupiter - Mercury vinshottary dasha phase. Mercury is not in any Rajyog. Mercury is debilitated in D9 chart and in D10 Dashamsa chart this is in the axis of Rahu Ketu Saturn axis. According to the placement of planets and transits Congress seems far from power for few more years"
On the chances of the Third Front he says "the horoscope of all the major politicians of third front is not available. In the available horoscopes planets of Jayalalitha Naveen Patnaik and Jagan Reddy seem too strong. I don't have birth details of Mamta Banarjee. The planets of Nitish Kumar and Mulayam Singh do not seem strong. Mayawati seems supporting the next government by any means. She does not seem performing very well. The party of Ajit Singh will also not perform very well. But Aam Aadmi party seems showing her presence in the parliament".
He makes a slightly detailed analysis of the BJP. He says "India and Bhartiya Janta Party both are running in the vinshottary mahadasha of the Sun. And coincidentally both are coming in the new Vinshottary Antardasha. Ketu is coming in the Antardasha of India for four months. Ketu is too mysterious planet.it does not let know what exactly is going to happen. Ketu is placed in the seventh house of India. The lord of rashi in which ketu is placed is mars. Mars is placed in the second house of "Kutumb" and Maraka (fatality).so during the formation of the government some unexpected happening is expected. Many things will happen totally unexpected. There is also possibility of emergence of any new name for Prime Minister Ship. Many unexpected and unpleasant incidents may happen after 6th may for sure.
Bhartiya Janta Party is coming in the Jupiter Vinshottary dasha from 6th may 2014. Though Jupiter is too much afflicted but this fact cannot be ignored that Jupiter is the tenth lord also. The relation of the mahadasha and antardasha lord of BJP seems bringing BJP near to power but after a struggle. But there is a chance of emergence of a new name also unexpectedly because of Ketu.if the effect of Ketu is somewhat nullified then NDA seems forming the government. But any of the expected government seems not completing its tenure. The reason is the transits of Rahu and Saturn. The transit of Saturn in vrishchik rashi has been very disastrous. Just remember what happened thirty years before (in the two and half years transit of Saturn over Vrischika Rashi).the transit of Rahu in the dual Rashi Kanya have always gave an unstable coalition government at the centre. In 1959-60, 1977, 1996-1997 there were same situation".
According to a report in DNA newspaper a renowned Pune astrologer, Nandkishor Jakatdar, claimed that BJP will get 155 to 165 seats, however, Modi will not become the Prime Minister nor BJP will be able to form a government. He further claimed that the government will be formed with the support of 115 Congress seats. Another astrologer, Malti Sharma, claimed that Aam Admi Party will not be able achieve desired success and its chief Arvind Kejriwal will be defeated by Modi in Varanasi constituency.
However some astrologers disagree with the predictions that Narendra Modi may not make it to the top post. They claim that Modi has 'Gaj Kesari Yog' and he will certainly become the next Prime Minister.
Among all websites ganeshaspeaks makes a detailed analysis of many top contenders and their parties. According to its predictions, stars don't seem to be in favour of the ruling party Congress. It also predicts that a strong planetary support shall help Narendra Modi to silence his ditractors in the election. It gives enough hints that Modi will occupy the post of Prime Minister.
It says "There will be a swing in the favour of BJP. "Modi factor" would also continue to rule in the 2014 General Elections. Atal Bihari Vajpayee government had come to power defeating the Congress in 1996, when the transiting Rahu was in Virgo. Now, Rahu is about to enter the Zodiac Sign Virgo yet again on 12th July 2014. This factor is also indicative that BJP may be coming to the power position again. In its Sun Dasha Jupiter Bhukti too, the party is again nearing the power, adds Ganesha. BJP will dominate the forthcoming elections, stars suggest. It is likely to emerge as the largest single party in 2014 General Elections. The analysis of event chart of 7th April 2014 (first day's polling chart) indicates highly favourable conditions for the Bhartiya Janata Party.
The strength of the 7th House Lord Venus in this event chart will increase significantly on the result day. The current ruling alliance's main opposition party's that is BJP's strength is likely to increase more than 100% as per this chart. If we apply this to the seat tally aspect, BJP is likely to get LS Seats between 200 and 225".
The same Ganeshaspeaks predicts that the ruling Congress is likely to get 105 to 125 Lok Sabha seats. It also predicts that Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, chief of the YSRCP is backed by splendid planetary support and he will win both Assembly and Lok Sabha election for his party in Andhra Pradesh.
It also predicts the victory of BJP leaders like Nitin Gadkari, B S Yeddyurappa, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Paresh Rawal, Dr. Harshvardhan, Rajnath Singh and others. It says leaders like M P Veerendra Kumar (Palakkad in Kerala). It predicts that Gul Panag and P C Sorkar may lose the election.
Like psephologists, even the astrologers are not betting on the AAP.
An internationally known Bangalore based astrologer K N Somayaji puts it like this. He says "Politicians insecurity is our security. Their weakness is our strength". He asks "there is nothing called scientific astrology. Science is 100% objective. Astrology is not objective. How can it be scientific?"
He declines to make the details of his predictions public.
"If the pollsters get their predictions wrong, they blame it on the sample size or undercurrent. If the astrologers get it wrong, they blame it on sudden change in the planetary positions" says a veteran politician.
