BHUBANESWAR: The final and fif According to the State Election Commission (SEC), the second-phase elections on February 13 witnessed the highest polling at 75 per cent. The polling figures of the last phase may change as final reports are reaching the Commission. In the fifth phase on Sunday, the highest polling at 85 per cent was recorded in Nayagarh district while Rayagada, Ganjam and Dhenkanal districts witnessed the lowest polling at 62 per cent. In the second and third phases, the highest polling at 87 and 86 per cent respectively was recorded in Boudh district. About 81 per cent polling was recorded in Subarnapur district in the fourth phase, the highest, while Subarnapur and Keonjhar recorded the highest polling at 82 per cent in the first phase. Ganjam, the home district of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, never crossed 70 per cent turnout in all the five phases.
