Kolkata: A fire broke out in the library of state-run Sambhunath Pandit Hospital here this morning, fire brigade officials said.
The fire broke out in the second floor library of the hospital at 11.48 AM.
Six fire tenders were pressed into service and the blaze was brought under control within 15 minutes, the officials said.
There was no report of injury to any person, police said.
The incident comes two days after a fire broke out in another state-run hospital in Murshidabad district that left three persons dead.
