A video of a man riding a bike with a woman sitting on his lap in Bengaluru has gone viral on the internet. The incident is said to have taken place on the Hebbal flyover. Bengaluru Police took cognizance of the viral video and traced the duo.
The undated video showed a woman sitting one-sided on the biker’s lap with her hands wrapped around his neck.

Bengaluru Police traced the duo with the help of the number plate of the bike and CCTV visuals.
The biker was identified as 21-year-old Silambarasen, a resident of MV Layout, Shampura, Bengaluru, an India Today report said.
“We have traced the offender. We will be tracing the list of violations he has done earlier,” DCP Traffic North, Bengaluru was quoted by India Today as saying.
The traffic police seized the vehicle and an action against the accused will be initiated.
A case was registered against him under section 279 (driving rashly or negligently so as to endanger human life) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 184 (dangerous driving), 189 (racing or speeding on public roads), 129 (not wearing a helmet while driving) and 177 (not following traffic rules and allowing someone to obstruct your vehicle control) of the Motor Vehicles Act.
