KOLLAM: Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram, with 85 points, maintains lead on the third day of Kerala University Youth Festival being held in Kollam, at the time of filing this report. It is followed by Mar Baselios College, Thiruvananthapuram, with 55 points. Mar Ivanios College came first in the Thiruvathira contest followed by SN Women’s College and Fathima Matha National College, Kollam, in second and third places respectively. Neethu S of TKM Engineering College came first in Bharathanatyam competition. Neethu Suresh of Mar Baselios College and Arya S Kumar of Government Women’s College, T’Puram, bagged second and third. In the mimicry competition for women, Neethu J S of Muslim Association College, Venjarammoodu came first. Sanooja S of SN College for Women came second and Nesty Jose of All Saints College, Thiruvananthapuram, came third. Mahesh D of SD College, Alappuzha, bagged first in the men’s category. Vishu Sivan of Lourde Matha College came second. Sreejith M Nair of College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram (CET), and Nithin P S of College of Science and Technology bagged third place in the event. In the stringed instruments contest, Aby David of SD College came first. Jithin P Thomas of UKM College, Parippally, came second and Hemand S R of SCT Engg College, Pappanamcode, came third. In the wind instrument category Arjun A S of CET came first. Nithin P J of Mar Ivanios and Soumya Subramanian of Govt Medical College, Trivandrum, came third. Mar Ivanios bagged first in Hindi debate contest.
