Moolamppilly evictees not yet rehabilitated

KOCHI: Moolamppilly co-ordination committee members have expressed their concern over the delay in the implementation of the Moolamppilly rehabilitation package promised by the UDF Government. Moolamppilly co-ordination committee general convener Francis Kulathungal and other members discussed the issue with Bishop Francis Kallarakkal and Bishop Sebastian Adayanthrath.The co-ordination members said the people from seven villages were evacuated as part of the Vallarpadam project. The LDF Government had not assured rehabilitation package for the evictees. Nothing has materialised even seven months into the UDF rule.They blamed that the land allotted for rehabilitation was now being used to dump debris from the north railway overbridge.
