Nepal on Thursday said it won't allow any anti-India elements, including underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, to stay in its territory.
"We will not allow anyone engaged in anti-India activities in Nepal," visiting Nepal Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire told reporters in New Delhi after meeting his Indian counterpart Sushilkumar Shinde.
Asked whether Dawood, India's most wanted terrorist, has set up base in the Himalayan nation, Ghimire said his country would not allow such persons to stay.
"I don't think it is true. We will not allow anyone to set up base," he said.
He said India and Nepal enjoy very cordial relations and cooperate with each other in security matters.
"We have good relations with India. We are jointly working on various issues like cross border crime, human trafficking, terror activities. So many mechanisms are in place," he said.
Ghimire denied that Indian Mujahideen found Yasin Bhatkal was arrested in Nepal soil, as reported in some sections of media.
He said he and his Indian counterpart had a very good delegation-level meeting where they discussed issues concerning both the nations.
