Understanding of god

God is the supreme power and we humans have given it a form.  All over the world people worship this supreme power calling him by different names.

To me, Allah, Rama, Jesus and Krishna are one and the same and is a supreme power. And, that is what I call Shakti.

Faith in miracles

I believe in miracles, but I have an interpretation of the same. Every moment when we face a problem and come out stronger, it’s a miracle. It is the same concept when it comes to being healthy and happy.

Religious practices

I very strongly believe that one must practice religion, not only by performing pujas and yagnas, but also in action. I don’t pray or chant just because I have been asked to.

However, I do so because I see logic in it and it makes me feel nice about myself. I don’t think any religion preaches violence or encourages any one to cause suffering to others.

Unfortunately it is exactly what we do in the name of religion.

Spiritual belief

It is very essential to have faith, respect and confidence in oneself, because god (Shakti) is within us, and can make us do great things.

Take on meditation

I don’t meditate regularly. But for me, good music and great conversation have the same effect .

Favourite pilgrimage sites

I love going to ancient temples; I find peace in such places.

There is a 2000-year-old Jain temple in Puzhal, on the outskirts of Chennai and that is my favorite pilgrimage site.

This particular spot is very peaceful, tranquil and energising.
