NELLORE: CB-CID sleuths had another breakthrough in the money circulation scheme racket and arrested Nehamaiah, an agent of New Vision India, one of the companies involved in the scam, on Saturday night.The sleuths seized `2.21 crore, which was deposited in his account with ING Vysa Bank. They also sealed a multiplex building worth `1.16 crore of the accused in the Vijayamahal Gate area of the city.CB-CID deputy commissioner of police Vijay Kumar told reporters that they were searching for any other assets of Nehamaiah in the district and elsewhere.He said Nehmaiah had deposited `1 crore with a Tirupati-based finance company, Rhythm, and hid another `2.21 crore in the house of a security guard, Ramasundaram, who works for Om Sai Professional Detective Services in Nellore.He offered him `10 lakh for keeping the money for one night before it was deposited with ING Vysya Bank on the following morning.The accused also secreted money in the homes of his sister Sundari at Gudur and his close associate M Ravindra in the same town.He offered the two `30 lakh for the purpose. According to the police, New Vision India collected `60 crore form public in the last 18 months. Meanwhile, tension prevailed at Venkateswarapuram when many people mobbed the house of NVI’s agent Ramesh who is absconding.Cops had to intervene to prevent any untoward incident
