THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The renovated Sree Chitra Central Hindumatha Grandhasala, which is under the Travancore Dewaswom Board, will be inaugurated by poet O N V Kurup on July 15 at a function to be held at Puthenchantha Grandhasala Hall. Devaswom Board president M Rajagopalan Nair will preside over the function.  It was to propagate Hindu ideology and philosophy that the grandhasala was opened in 1936 on the heels of the Temple Entry Proclamation by Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma. However, a good portion of the book collection was ruined due to antiquity. This led to the Board constituting a committee to renovate the grandhasala. With the support of the State Government, Institute of Languages, Department of Archaeology and Cultural Department, books belonging to  renowned publications were collected and stored. Manuscripts and many reference materials for history-enthusiasts could be found here. For membership, the librarian could be approached, a press statement said.
