Bangalore: The Sessions Court on Saturday posted for September 8 its order on the anticipatory bail plea of Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda's son, who is facing charges of rape, cheating and kidnap from a Kannada starlet.
Sessions Court Judge Mudigoudar had on Friday reserved his order for Saturday but posted it to Monday as the dictation of the order was incomplete.
Opposing the bail plea of Gowda's son, Karthik Gowda, the actress' lawyer has told the court that he should not be given relief as he is a very influential person who may destroy the evidence.
On September 5, the eighth Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court had issued arrest warrant against Karthik, who is now declared absconding with police teams on the lookout for him.
The case has triggered a storm in the state after the small-time model-turned-actress lodged a complaint against Karthik levelling the three charges, with the Railway minister saying the law would take its own course.
The actress had claimed she and Karthik had got married at Gowda's residence in Mangalore in June in the presence of only the driver of Gowda's son. The case has taken different twists and turns with her purported telephonic conversation with him also being released to media.
The claim about marriage came on the day when Karthik's engagement ceremony with another woman was underway at Kushalnagar in Kodagu district.
