Yuki said that we are re not taking Indonesia lightly, but are confident of pulling off the tie, especially playing in home conditions.

Bangalore: Young Indian Davis Cupper Yuki Bhambri on Tuesday exuded confidence that veteran Leander Paes and the dependable Somdev Devvarman's presence in the Indian squad will help them win the Asia Ocenia tie against Indonesia, starting April 5.

"There is no reason why India should not win the tie, especially after having Leander and Somdev back into the squad. We always count on Leander who has been doing it for us for last 20 years. Somdev is in great form as well," Yuki said.

Yuki said that the Indians are not taking Indonesia lightly, but are confident of pulling off the tie, especially playing in home conditions.

"We are playing the tie under home conditions which always is an added advantage," he said.

Yuki said the surface here has been relaid which suits the Indians, but only thing they have to get used to the condition and the bounce.

"However, courts around the world are generally similar. We have two more days to get used to it. I think it should be fine," he said.

On personal front, Yuki seemed happy that he remained injury-free till now and it provides him with a great chance of getting higher-up the rankings.

"One of the key concerns for me is to be able to play a full season," he said.

Yuki said that he would prefer playing the second singles and expects by the time he is on court, India should go 1-0 up in the five-match rubber. He said he had played the No. 1 Indonesian player Christopher Rungkat in ATP and Challengers Tournaments and last year he prevailed over him in a close match in Challengers tournament in Singapore.

Yuki said he plans to play 20 to 25 events this year, hopefully he could manage it. He said he would love to play doubles, but it would depend on the outcome on the, first day.

"In every tournament, I played singles as well as doubles," he said.

Yuki said after the Davis Cup he would playing a couple of matches in Challengers tournament in China and South Africa. The youngster said the way Leander was playing India is going to have him around for another two years, nevertheless the country is having a great bench strength, each trying to ouwit other through their performance.

"We all are similarly ranked. We end up pushing each other trying to do well. That also helps us. Hopefully, we can get India into the world group again soon," he said.
