New Delhi: Pakistan has hit back at India and accused it of violating ceasefire along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday issued a statement saying it's ironical that India expects an environment conducive for talks while continuing with ceasefire violations.
Responding strongly to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Pakistan said, "Surprised India's Minister called China-Pakistan Economic Corridor unacceptable, as it's all about a connected region."
Talking about the 26/11 Mumbai terro attacks trial, Pakistan said, "It is proceeding in the court of Law. Indian concern over slow progress calls into question their own reluctance to cooperate by not allowing the Judicial Commission’s visit to India until September 2013."
Talking about the economic corridor, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said some people want to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) after India lodged a complaint with China.
Sharif said China rejected India's objection over ambitious $46 billion Economic Corridor.
The project was launched in April 2015 when Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Pakistan. It aims to link western China with Gwadar port in Balochistan, allowing China access to Middle East via Arabian Sea.
Pakistani troops had on Monday violated the ceasefire thrice along Line of Control. One Indian Army jawan was injured after Pakistan fired at a BSF post in Hiranagar sector of Jammu.
