BANGALORE: Senior BJP leader and state government’s representative at New Delhi, Dhananjaya Kumar described the alleged phonetapping charge made by former Karnataka Lokayukta Justice Santhosh Hegde as a “closed chapter”.Speaking to newsmen here on Monday, Kumar said that the former Lokayukta who had accused the government of phone-tapping did not come forward to lodge any complaint on the issue.Stating that any investigation would kickstart only with the lodging of a formal complaint from the aggrieved person, he added that “the issue of the alleged phone tapping stands to be a closed chapter”.Kumar said that if any complaint was made by the former Lokayukta the same can be referred to the Centre for further action.Referring to the spat between former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy and Hegde, the BJP leader said that “Kumaraswamy has a habit of hurling accusations to demoralise others”.He challenged H D Kumaraswamy to make public any incriminating evidence on Hegde’s lavish life.“If he really has any documents to support his statement, he should make it public,” BJP leader said.
