New Delhi: Taking note of the huge spike in onion prices, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday asked Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar about increased onion prices.
Pawar met the PM with a delegation of Maharashtra MPs seeking assistance for farmers of the state.
Prices of essential vegetables like onion and tomato have skyrocketed due to shortage of supply.
