Police bust gang of vehicle-lifters, arrest four

Police on Monday busted a gang of vehicle-lifters with the arrest of four men and recovered three cars and a motorbike in Jaipur.

The accused were identified as Bhagwan Sahay (24), Ramesh (35), Sunil (21), and Subhash Meena alias Chotu (26), a senior police officer said.

The accused confessed to having committed at least three dozen thefts of four wheelers including a number of SUVs and bikes from various parts of Jaipur, the officer said.

The gang used to steal vehicles and sell them across the state and Haryana too, the police said.

The four were being interrogated separately to ascertain other crimes they committed, the officer said.
