Police rescue girl from UP, jawan held

BHUBANESWAR: Police have rescued a minor girl from Uttar Pradesh and arrested a CISF jawan in this connection.After receiving a complaint from the girl’s father, a police team traced the girl in Mahera village under Aligarh’s Atroli police limits. She was allegedly abducted by Govind Chandra Choudhury, the CISF jawan deployed at Nalco in Angul.  Choudhury and his brother-in-law had allegedly hatched the plan to abduct the girl. The other accused is still at large. Both have been booked for kidnapping and criminal conspiracy. Police said Choudhury was after the girl for a long time. As the girl’s father is an employee at Nalco in Angul, the jawan had come in contact with the girl and was trying to woo her but in vain.
