In view of the collapse of the northern, eastern and the north-eastern power grids, connecting more than 20 states, and the national capital on Tuesday, the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (AP Transco) urged the people of the state not to panic as AP is secure from grid disturbances and protected from possible black-outs.
The AP Transco chairman and managing director Hiralal Samaria, however, reviewed grid parameters at the Vidyut Soudha on Tuesday.
He cautioned the power sector engineers to be more vigilant while monitoring the parameters such as grid frequency and loading pattern during peak and off-peak hours and requested the DISCOMs not to over-draw power.
Samaria also assured that all the four major factors- effective fault analysis, 24x7 monitoring of grid, automatic disturbance control mechanism and the island mode grid mechanism are helping the power utilities to maintain grid stability.
