The AP Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL) has decided to provide temporary LT supply connection for the purpose of illumination of Ganesh pandals by collecting lump sum amounts in advance, observing all the safety measures.
The Ganesh festival will be celebrated for a period of 11 days from September 19 to 29.
However, if the applicants approach the APCPDCL for metered supply to the pandals, the same can be extended as per rules under LT temporary supply.
It urged the Ganesh pandal organisers to avoid illegal tapping of electrical energy, which is an offence under the Electricity Act, 2003.
The APCPDCL also urged the organisers to examine the surroundings of the power line locations before doing any electrical work in and outside the pandals.

* Prevent children from coming closer to power lines/poles * Do not throw objects on the power lines which can cause short circuits * Do not meddle with the overhead power lines when moving the idols.
* Never climb electricity poles, for electricity connections.
* Use standard service wire without any joints for connections * Never touch a person who is in contact with live power lines
