Presidents medal for 11 cops in state

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Eleven policemen from the state have been selected for the President’s police medals for distinguished and meritorious service, announced on the eve of the Republic Day.  Additional Deputy Generals of Police M N Krishnamurthy and P Vijayanand and IG Jose George have been selected the President’s Police Medals for Distinguished Service while Thiruvananthapuram City Commissioner T J Jose, G Somasekhar (SP, Investigation Agency, Lok Ayukta) C P Gopakumar (SP, Vigilance & Security Officer, PSC), S Rajendran (DySP), Assistant Sub-Inspectors K Appukuttan Pillai, T T Varkey Enashu, J Stephenson and  Senior Civil Police officer K Parameswaran Pillai are the Police Medal winners for meritorious service.
