BANGALORE: For residents of BDA areas, problems don’t seize to exist. Adding to their woes, the online complaint portal that the BDA had launched earlier last year, is not serving the purpose. When the web complaint portal was launched, residents would get a customer message saying that  their complaints were heard   and it would be solved at  the earliest. However, now when complaints are registered, neither do residents get the custom message nor do they hear from the BDA officials. “We have been complaining about an open plot close to our apartment complex. We also wrote to the BDA about the stench and mosquitoes. But we haven’t got any response,” said Harish Jain, a resident of Koramangala. Even after months of waiting, the BDA authorities haven’t lived up to their promises. When contacted the BDA office, they reiterated that there was a technical snag, which was fixed.“It does not seem like a technical snag. All complaints are being filed, but there’s no response,” said Girish Sharma, a resident of Banashankari. Meanwhile, a source within the BDA reveals that these complaints were looked into by zonal and area officers. “The officers have to address the problems in their respective areas. Every problem cannot be diverted to the main office,” said an official from the main office.
