Pune Porsche Crash: Court Grants Bail To Teen's Father, Grandfather In Kidnapping Case
The teen accused's father Vishal Agarwal and grandfather, both were accused of wrongfully confining their driver and pressuring him to take the blame for the accident

A Pune court granted bail to the father, and grandfather of the teen accused in case of kidnapping and wrongful confinement of a family driver. A Judicial Magistrate (First Class) granted bail to the 17-year-old boy’s father Vishal Agarwal, a prominent builder, and his grandfather, who were arrested in May-end.

The teen’s father and grandfather were accused of wrongfully confining their driver and pressuring him to take the blame for a tragic road accident that killed two techies in Pune.

This comes days after the Bombay High Court directed that the 17-year-old boy allegedly involved in the accident be released immediately as the orders remanding him to an observation home were illegal and the law regarding juveniles must be implemented fully.

The teenager, who had got bail hours after the accident on May 19 but was sent to the observation home three days later following an outcry, was released in the evening following the HC order.

Meanwhile, the Pune police are planning to approach the Supreme Court against the release of the 17-year-old, a senior official said on Monday.
